Nanking Bistro has taken over the space formerly occupied by Wonderland, offering a unique fusion of Wonderland and Little Nanking’s menus. The owner of Nanking Bistro was previously involved with the beloved establishment Little Namking, bringing a touch of nostalgia to the new spot. The restaurant boasts an extensive menu, featuring appetizers, soups, salads, house dumplings, beef, chef's specials, seafood, lamb, pork, poultry, veggies and tofu, noodles, rice, and lunch specials. One standout dish is the special Nanking dumplings, filled with a delicious combination of chicken, pork, shrimp, and cabbage. These freshly made dumplings are larger than usual and packed with flavor, perfect for dipping into soy sauce and chili sauce for an extra kick. The hot and sour soup is a must-try, with a robust sour taste from vinegar and a spicy kick from white pepper. The clear savory broth is not diluted with cornstarch or artificial flavorings, making it a satisfying choice for soup lovers. One of the highlights of dining at Nanking Bistro is the absence of MSG in their dishes. Despite the sodium from soy sauce, the food is full of natural flavors without the added artificial enhancers. Additionally, customers can enjoy a 10% discount for a limited time to celebrate the grand opening. It is worth mentioning that the online menu may not showcase all the offerings available at Nanking Bistro, so diners should be prepared for a pleasant surprise when exploring the extensive menu. The connection with the popular former establishment, Little Namking, adds a special touch to the dining experience at Nanking Bistro, creating a nostalgic and satisfying atmosphere for patrons. Overall, Nanking Bistro impresses with its flavorful dishes, value for money, and delightful fusion of Wonderland and Little Nanking’s best offerings. It's a place worth visiting for a taste of authentic Northern Chinese cuisine with a modern twist.

Exciting news! Nanking Bistro has finally opened in Danville, right next to Foster Freeze on Hartz Avenue. I've been eagerly waiting for this moment since they closed their previous location in San Leandro. The parking was easy, and I was greeted with a warm welcome when I arrived. I must say, the wait was definitely worth it. Every dish I tried was cooked to perfection and bursting with delicious flavors. Some of my personal favorites were the Hot and Sour Soup, Salt and Pepper Prawns, Spicy Chicken With Honey Sesame, Szechuan Eggplant and Basil, and the Mongolian Black Bean Beef Chow Fun. Each dish left me wanting more, and I couldn't help but rave about it to my friends and family. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. Nanking Bistro has quickly become one of my top recommendations for a delightful dining experience. Make sure to check them out - you won't be disappointed!

Delicious food and friendly service. An impromptu date night had us here when we remembered that our friends had recommended this restaurant. We enjoyed all our dishes! Very tasty and fresh. We had way too much so we took leftovers home to the kids. Will be going back in a few days!

Had a lunch special - chicken with eggplant - food was outstanding- flavorful and not greasy - even the hot and sour soup was tasty The lunch vibe was kind of sad - it was dark and quiet - kind of like a morgue. A few tables like mine with one customer- some with 2 but not much conversation Still I would go back to further explore the menu

Hate to not give them 5 stars because the food is amazing and the ONE waitress is very nice but they need to work on having better service. Each time we go there we know we will be there forever. I get it that it is a mom and pops type of restaurant and I'm sure they are cutting cost but making people wait 30-40 mins between their appetizer and meal is way too long.

This is the first time we tried Nanking Bistro, and we will be back. We ordered a ton of food to go tonight. Right off the bat, we thought we may have a winner, because the hot and sour soup was so authentic and so excellent and cooked and spiced perfectly. We loved the dumplings, the barbecue pork, the Mu Shu prawns, the cumin lamb and the spicy pork with green beans was delicious as well. The cooks are just a notch better at this place than 95% of the other Chinese restaurants in the area, including Walnut Creek. Also, everyone was so nice and friendly and it's easy to park and easy to access. Note they told me they do not use delivery services so we just headed down and picked it up ourselves and it was ready exactly when they said it would be. Well done Nanking.

We always order to go from Nanking. We don't bother to try any other Chinese as we have been so disappointed by everyone else. Food is delicious and always consistent which I appreciate so much. The staff is kind and professional and also very accommodating when we ask for certain things such as spicier or milder flavor in dishes we order. I think the prices are also great, not too expensive for this area but certainly not cheap either.
